The oldest surviving building in Horsforth built in 1630 as a house and weaving shop and retaining many of its original features The Queens was llicensed as a public house during Victorian times and is therefore and surprisingly not the oldest licensed premises in Horsforth (see the Old Kings Arms).

The Old Kings Arms was built specifically as a public house in 1749 and therefore holds the title of the oldest licenced premises in the village, now a thriving social hub of fine beer and food with frequent live music and comedy nights.
